204. Bear Mojo Smoke
Created in honour of, and inspired by, Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke, this characterful slab of Dorset Sequoia Redwood is going to test his theory that single pickup guitars rock. The theory is that without a neck pickup magnet under the strings they will vibrate more freely and fully. There does seem to be some science logic in the idea, it’s probable that the presence of another pickup even not active, can have an influence on the strings flowing over it. Will be very interesting to see. I have chosen a wonderful hot P90 handwound by Ben Fletcher, super resonant one piece bridge and the whole thing just vibrates with tone, it’s glorious p, and just produces ‘that’ tone in spades, I’m dead chuffed.
